Wells County 4-H Achievement Days and Wells County FFA Competitions are held in conjunction with the Wells County Fair. Click here for a complete schedule of 4-H and FFA Events, including static exhibits, livestock judging and auctions.
Join us for one of the most exciting events of the Wells County Fair. See which riders can hold on for the full 8-second ride at Bull-A-Rama. Don’t miss the exciting rodeo action with the top ranking cowboys in the region and quality bulls from Shane Gunderson’s C’N Stars Bull Company. Show starts at 7:00 pm on Thursday at the Wells County Fairgrounds.

Friday LIL MONSTER TRUCKS
Monster Truck Mania Coming to Fair
Lil Monster Trucks will be performing at 7:30 pm June 24.
Lil Monster Trucks is a professional kid sports team that travels the country participating in monster truck events while promoting positive messages.
Lil Monster Trucks is a small scale monster truck team consisting of kid drivers ages 6-17 years of age. The team travels the country putting on actual monster truck shows that include activities such as monster truck racing, freestyle, tricks, jumps and rides while still leaving plenty of time to hang out with fans and sign autographs.
The drivers also promote positive messages and behaviors such as anti-bullying, the D.A.R.E. program and autism awareness. The kids and their trucks also participate in charity events, birthday parties, and static displays. This is one team you will absolutely want to follow.
A meet and greet of the drivers and viewing of trucks will be held from 6-7 pm on Friday before the show.
Saturday 5-K GRAND RUN
The annual 5-K Grand Run will take place on Saturday, as part of the Wells County Fair. Registration for the 5-K walk/run will start at 7:30am at the Fairgrounds Gazebo, with the race to begin at 8:00am.
Registration is $15. Contestants are encouraged to pre-register with Wanda Weckerly at (701)962-3899 to guarantee a t-shirt. Signup sheets will be available at the fair office prior to Saturday.
The event is open to runners and walkers. All ages are welcome.
One of the most anticipated summer sports on the prairies, Chariot & Chuckwagon racing is a fast-paced spectator sport for the whole family. Watch as the horses and dare-devil drivers race to win on the track at the Wells County Fair in the grandstand at 1:30 pm on Saturday.
Saturday GUILTEE BY ASSOCIATION
MOTORCYCLE DAREDEVIL SHOW
A spectacular fireworks show will be put on Saturday night at dark by Richard Zink and Wholesale Ag of Carrington.
The fireworks will be set off in the grandstand infield. Spectators can bring lawn chairs or in in the grandstands to take in the show.
If you are unable to come to the fairgrounds Saturday night, look to the sky and enjoy the fantastic light show from wherever you are. Fessenden residens will be able to easily view the fireworks.

Sunday DEMO DERBY
The11th annual Fessenden-Bowdon FFA Alumni Association Demolition Derby will begin smashing and crashing at 3:00pm on Sunday, June 26th.
Smash 'em and crash 'em and be the last vehicle moving is the main agenda for the event. The FFA Alumni keeps the excitement alive and challenging competitors with new events.
New to the annual demo derby will be a Crazy 8 race. Drivers will race through a figure 8, dodging cars as they try for the best time without crashing as they through the oncoming cars.
The demo derby was started in 2006 by FFA alumni as a fundraiser. The alumni association provides scholarships for high school students to attend FFA conventions for the local FFA chapter.
Rides, games and other activities will keep the midway exciting during the Wells County Fair. Advance carnival wristband tickets are on sale for $20 for a single day pass or $40 for a 4-day Mega Pass. The tickets can be redeemed at the carnival ticket booth for a wristband used to access all of the carnival rides. Daily wristbands will be sold at the carnival for $25, and Mega Passes will not be available for purchase after June 18.
FREE STAGE ENTERTAINMENT
A variety of local musicians, artists and entertainers will take the stage throughout each day of the Wells County Fair. Be sure to check out the amazing talent we have in Wells County!
Saturday KID'S BIKE GIVEAWAY
Boys and Girls join us at the Wells County Fair for your chance to win a brand new bike! Open to kid’s 12 years & under, (1) girl’s and (1) boy’s bike to be given away on Saturday. Registration is open from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday at the Fair Office. Drawing will be held at 5:00 pm. Must be present to win. Sponsored by Roughrider Feeds.
A children's activity center will be set p the wishing well, north of the grandstand. Geared for kids, the activity center will open Friday 4-8 pm, Saturday noon-8 pm and Sunday noon-6 pm

The Wells County Museum illustrates the history of the county and features a variety of interesting exhibits, including farm equipment, jewelry, clothing, Native American artifacts, and tools used by the pioneer of the WC area. The main building displays dollhouses, blacksmith shop tools, furniture, spinning wheels, weapons and more. A beautiful dress collection from the 1900’s and the original fixtures from the Cathay Post Office are on display, along with a number of Norwegian artifacts. The museum houses newspapers from around the county throughout the years with fascinating articles about the area and its people. The second annex offers visitors a look at unique pieces of farm equipment and antique vehicles. The Pony Gulch County School is also available to tour as part of the Museum. Open all four days of the Wells County Fair.

Bring the kid’s out to see tractors, cars, music, entertainment and more at the Wells County Fair Parade on Saturday!
Entrants line up at the courthouse starting at 10:00 am and the parade begins down Main Avenue in Fessenden at 11:00 am.
A kids parade section will foolow the color guard(kids line up at 10:30 am at the KTL parking lot.
All entries are welcom and NO preregistration is required.
The parade is organized by Fessenden Civic & Commerce and is sponsored by Heartland Trailer Sales.
Saturday RHUBARB FEST
Saturday, June 23rd 2:00-3:30pm
$3 gets you six samples at Rhubarb Fest in the Festival Hall at the Wells County Fair. Come on in and check out all of the delicious recipes and see the amazing exhibits and vendors provided by the talented women of Wells County.
The Apron Awards will be given to the People’s Choice, the Judge’s Choice and the Volunteer’s Choice this year
